Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Propspedia uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our platform, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 1 March 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website operators.

In addition to cookies, we may also use similar technologies such as:

  • Web beacons (pixel tags): tiny transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that help us track opens and clicks.
  • Local storage: browser-based key-value storage used to persist UI state across sessions.
  • Session storage: temporary browser storage cleared when the browser tab is closed.
  • Device fingerprinting: aggregated device attributes used for fraud detection (not linked to personal identity).
Note: Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. They are uniquely assigned to your browser and can only be read by the web server that issued them.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We use four categories of cookies on the Propspedia Platform:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

Always On

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include session authentication, security tokens, and load balancing cookies.

Functional Cookies

Optional

These cookies remember your preferences โ€” such as your saved searches, recently viewed properties, preferred city, and display language โ€” to improve your experience.

Analytics Cookies

Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform โ€” which pages are most popular, where users drop off, and how features are used โ€” so we can improve them.

Marketing & Advertising Cookies

Optional

These cookies are used to show you relevant ads on our Platform and third-party sites. They track your browsing across sites and build interest profiles. You can opt out at any time.

4. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies when you use the Platform. Please review their respective privacy policies for full details:

  • Google Analytics (analytics.google.com) โ€” usage analytics and performance measurement.
  • Google Ads (google.com/ads) โ€” conversion tracking and remarketing.
  • Meta / Facebook Pixel (facebook.com) โ€” ad conversion tracking.
  • Hotjar (hotjar.com) โ€” heatmaps and session recordings.
  • Crisp (crisp.chat) โ€” live chat support widget.
  • Razorpay / PayU โ€” payment processing cookies set only during checkout flows.
  • YouTube (youtube.com) โ€” embedded property tour videos may set cookies when played.
Note: We do not control third-party cookies. If you object to them, you can opt out directly via the third-party's opt-out mechanism or use your browser settings.

5. Managing Your Preferences

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our Cookie Preference Centre, accessible via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. From there, you can toggle optional cookie categories on or off. Your selections are saved and respected on future visits.

Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform โ€” for example, disabling functional cookies will cause your saved searches and preferences to be lost between sessions.

6. Browser Settings

You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Here is how to manage cookies in popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings โ†’ Privacy and Security โ†’ Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Cookies and Site Data.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences โ†’ Privacy โ†’ Manage Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings โ†’ Cookies and site permissions โ†’ Cookies and site data.

Most browsers also allow you to block third-party cookies specifically. Refer to your browser's help documentation for detailed instructions.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. Currently, there is no universally agreed standard for responding to DNT signals. While we do not currently respond to DNT signals, you can use the Cookie Preference Centre or browser settings to limit tracking.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on the Platform or by email. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
